An example of the facial expression that leads to the formation of bunny lines on the bridge of the nose in some people.
Bunny lines are lines on the nose, which appear during facial animation (laughing, frowning, etc) due to the contraction of the transverse fibers of the muscle on the dorsum (bridge of the nose). As with many areas of the face, these lines can be treated with Botox! To treat them, Dr. Zuckerman generally injects on each side of the nose and depending on the severity, at a third site in the middle. This type of aging only appears in some people, but Botox is an effective way of eliminating it.

Most patients require three to four treatments per year to maintain a continual effect.
Treatment takes approximately one week to set in and lasts three to four months.
10 – 20 minutes per treatment (Often combined with Glabella “11’s” Treatment and Crow’s Feet Treatment)
Dr. Zuckerman recommends patients take the following precautions before undergoing bunny lines treatment to minimize bruising: no NSAIDs such aspirin or ibuprofen within a couple days before a day after, don’t drink alcohol to excess a day before and a day before, refraining from lying flat or working out within 2 hours after injection.
This treatment involves little to no downtime, and patients often return to work immediately after treatment. There may be slight bleeding or redness at the injection sites, but these will resolve within a few hours.
Botox bunny lines injections on the nose are overhwelmingly safe. Approved by the FDA in 2002, Botox Cosmetic has been in use for over fifteen years. Unfortunately, its use is so widespread that some injectors may not be board-certified medical doctors or certified injectors overseen by a medical doctor. Risks, largely due to incorrect placement of Botox, include an unintended drooping of the brows or overdosing, leading to a frozen look. Bunny lines injectable treatment is a slightly lesser known technique, so visit an expert injector and board-certified plastic surgeon such as Dr. Zuckerman for treatment.
Dr. Zuckerman will recommend a number of units to you for this treatment based on your age, the extent to which you tend to squint, and the amount of sagging in your brows laterally. Generally speaking, this area receives somewhere in the range of 2 to 6 units. For first or second-time patients, Dr. Zuckerman often recommends that you make a follow-up appointment 8 to 14 days after treatment. He can then perform a touch-up treatment and record exactly how many units optimally suits you.
