Downtime / Recovery
This treatment involves little to no downtime, and patients often return to work immediately after treatment. There may be slight bleeding or redness at the injection sites, but these will resolve within a few hours.
Required Level of Skill
Low to medium: visit Dr. Zuckerman, a board-certified plastic surgeon and an expert injector, to ensure that you do not look “frozen” or have unintended drooping of the brows.
Level of Discomfort
None to low: this treatment is performed with an extremely thin gauge needle. Dr. Zuckerman offers a topical anesthetic (numbing cream) as well before treatment if you would like and an ice pack afterwards.
Forehead antiwrinkle injections are overhwelmingly safe and widespread. Approved by the FDA in 2002, Botox® Cosmetic has been in use for over fifteen years. Unfortunately, it is so widespread that many injectors are not board-certified medical doctors or injectors overseen by a medical doctor. The most likely “risks”, if you were to undergo treatment with an inexperienced practitionar, are unintended drooping of the brows or overdosing, leading to a “frozen” look. With Dr. Zuckerman, there is no need to worry about such risks.
