BUNNY LINES TREATMENT TREATMENT BY DR. ZUCKERMAN IN NEW YORK CITY

Bunny lines are lines on the nose, which appear during facial animation (laughing, frowning, etc) due to the contraction of the transverse fibers of the muscle on the dorsum (bridge of the nose). As with many areas of the face, these lines can be treated with Botox! To treat them, Dr. Zuckerman generally injects on each side of the nose and depending on the severity, at a third site in the middle. This type of aging only appears in some people, but Botox is an effective way of eliminating it.

Bunny Lines Treatment Recovery, Difficulty, & Risks

See below for an estimate of how long your treatment result may last, recovery time if any, cost range, and more.

Downtime / Recovery

This treatment involves little to no downtime, and patients often return to work immediately after treatment. There may be slight bleeding or redness at the injection sites, but these will resolve within a few hours.

Required Level of Skill

Low to medium: visit Dr. Zuckerman, a board-certified plastic surgeon and an expert injector, to ensure that you do not look “frozen” or have unintended drooping of the brows.

Level of Discomfort

None to low: this treatment is performed with an extremely thin gauge needle. Dr. Zuckerman offers a topical anesthetic (numbing cream) as well before treatment if you would like and an ice pack afterwards.

Associated Risks

Bunny line injections on the nose are overhwelmingly safe. Approved by the FDA in 2002, Botox® Cosmetic has been in use for over fifteen years. Unfortunately, it is so widespread that many injectors are not board-certified medical doctors or injectors overseen by a medical doctor. The most likely “risks”, if you were to undergo treatment with an inexperienced practitionar, are unintended drooping of the brows or overdosing, leading to a “frozen” look. This is a slightly lesser known technique, so visit an expert injector and board-certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Zuckerman.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bunny Lines Treatment

• How many units of Botox do I need for bunny lines treatment?
Dr. Zuckerman will recommend a number of units to you for this treatment based on your age, the extent to which you tend to squint, and the amount of sagging in your brows laterally. Generally speaking, this area receives somewhere in the range of 2 to 6 units. For first or second-time patients, Dr. Zuckerman often recommends that you make a follow-up appointment 8 to 14 days after treatment. He can then perform a touch-up treatment and record exactly how many units optimally suits you.
