Downtime / Recovery

Required Level of Skill
Medium: while injecting a hyaluronic acid filler like Juvederm is relatively simple, the shape of the nose is responsible for a significant percentage of our perception of character and midface beauty. It is important to create a smooth (not lumpy) contour. As an experience injector, you can be sure that Dr. Zuckerman will give you a great-looking results.
Level of Discomfort
Low: Dr. Zuckerman uses a topical anesthetic, or numbing cream, around the lips to minimize discomfort for his patients.
Hyaluronic Acid filler injection in general is very safe. The most common “risk” is that patients is being happy with their injector’s result, so it is important to visit an experienced injector such as a board-certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Zuckerman. Any result with lumps, bumps, or unevenness is likely to make you the patient unhappy. There is very low risk that a patient may be allergic to the Hyaluronic Acid filler, in which case a board-certified physician’s office will be able to apply a treatment to reverse the filler. This possible allergy is the main reason a patient should visit a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist for treatment.
