NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY TREATMENT BY DR. ZUCKERMAN IN NEW YORK CITY

Dr. Zuckerman performs a non-surgical rhinoplasty, or liquid rhinoplasty, to achieve a similar result to the most common kind of surgical rhinoplasty, or nose surgery. He injects Juvederm® Ultra Plus XC both above and below the dorsal hump to camouflage it and smooth out the dorsal contour in profile. While surgery is able to achieve a permanent elimination of the dorsal hump, this treatment is a good option for those with a mild dorsal hump or who not yet ready for surgery. Note: with any left over Juvederm, Dr. Zuckerman will also inject the nasolabial folds (the “parentheses” lines around the mouth).

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Recovery, Difficulty, & Risks

See below for an estimate of how long your treatment result may last, recovery time if any, cost range, and more.

Downtime / Recovery

Some patients experience redness or minimal bruising on the bridge of the nose post-treatment, which generally resolve within 24-48 hours. Most often, Dr. Zuckerman is able to minimize or eliminate such side effects, and his patients often go straight back to work after a day-time treatment.

Required Level of Skill

Medium: while injecting a hyaluronic acid filler like Juvederm is relatively simple, the shape of the nose is responsible for a significant percentage of our perception of character and midface beauty. It is important to create a smooth (not lumpy) contour. As an experience injector, you can be sure that Dr. Zuckerman will give you a great-looking results.

Level of Discomfort

Low: Dr. Zuckerman uses a topical anesthetic, or numbing cream, around the lips to minimize discomfort for his patients.

Associated Risks

Hyaluronic Acid filler injection in general is very safe. The most common “risk” is that patients is being happy with their injector’s result, so it is important to visit an experienced injector such as a board-certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Zuckerman. Any result with lumps, bumps, or unevenness is likely to make you the patient unhappy. There is very low risk that a patient may be allergic to the Hyaluronic Acid filler, in which case a board-certified physician’s office will be able to apply a treatment to reverse the filler. This possible allergy is the main reason a patient should visit a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist for treatment.
