Dr. Zuckerman can inject Botox; in particular positions around the eye to raise the brow laterally and give the patient a refreshed, rejuvenated look. The Orbicularis oculi muscle runs in an oval in concentric circles around each of the eyes; it is the muscle that allows you to squint. Due to the shape, some of the muscle fibers are vertical and some are horizontal. If you temporarily paralyze, using Botox, only the vertical muscle fibers on the lateral side of the eye, the brow will pull upward.

Most patients require three to four treatments per year to maintain a continual effect.
Treatment takes approximately one week to set in and lasts three to four months.
10 – 20 minutes per treatment (Often combined with Crow’s Feet Treatment and Forehead Antiwrinkle Treatment)
Dr. Zuckerman recommends patients take the following precautions before undergoing a non-surgical brow lift to minimize bruising: no NSAIDs such aspirin or ibuprofen within a couple days before a day after, don’t drink alcohol to excess a day before and a day before, refraining from lying flat or working out within 2 hours after injection.
This treatment involves little to no downtime, and patients often return to work immediately after treatment. There may be slight bleeding or redness at the injection sites, but these will resolve within a few hours.
Botox itself is highly safe, effective and overwhelmingly popular. It has been in use for over fifteen years. This particular treatment involves the sensitive anatomy around the eye, so Dr. Zuckerman recommends you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon who is aware of the anatomy of the area. The shape of the eyebrow is responsible for a significant percentage of the perception of facial character, so Dr. Zuckerman is careful to make subtle changes. Possible complications, largely due to undergoing treatment with an inexperienced injector, may include one brow higher than the other or arched differently or possibly a sagging upper eyelid.
Dr. Zuckerman will recommend a number of units to you for this treatment based on your age, the extent to which you tend to squint, and the amount of sagging in your brows laterally. Generally speaking, this area receives somewhere in the range of 6 to 12 units. For first or second-time patients, Dr. Zuckerman often recommends that you make a follow-up appointment 8 to 14 days after treatment. He can then perform a touch-up treatment and record exactly how many units optimally suits you.
