NON-SURGICAL CHIN AUGMENTATION TREATMENT BY DR. ZUCKERMAN IN NEW YORK CITY

Dr. Zuckerman can help you add volume to a weak or recessed chin with an injectables treatment using dermal fillers such as Voluma® XC or Radiesse. This treatment may be a good option for those not ready for surgical chin augmentation or for those with only a mild issue. This treatment can also help diminish the appearance of a double chin or round an overly angular chin. Dr. Zuckerman typically injects one to two vials of either filler listed above and places the product deep into the tissues near the bone. Other options to help improve the appearance of the chin area may be the non-surgical submental, under the chin, fat elimination treatment with Kybella® or submental liposuction.

Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation Recovery, Difficulty, & Risks

See below for an estimate of how long your treatment result may last, recovery time if any, cost range, and more.

Downtime / Recovery

This treatment involves little to no downtime, and patients often return to work immediately after workday treatment. There may be slight bleeding or redness at the injection sites, but these will resolve within a few hours.

Required Level of Skill

Medium: while dermal filler injections are commonplace, any time injections are placed deep into the tissues, it is best to visit a board-certified plastic surgery like Dr. Zuckerman to avoid complications with similarly located anatomical structures.

Level of Discomfort

None to low: Dr. Zuckerman applies a topical anesthetic (numbing cream) before treatment to eliminate patient discomfort.

Associated Risks

Injections with Radiesse® and Voluma® are overwhelmingly safe, especially when performed by an expert injector such as Dr. Zuckerman. However, possible complications, although rare, include:
• Redness
• Swelling
• Temporary Numbness
